DESCRIPTION:CSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor Course Outline\n\n\nCourse will run
 : 2 nights (Thursday &amp\; Friday) &amp\; 2 days (Saturday &amp\; Sunday)
 \n\n\n\n\n\nLevel 1 Certification Description\n\nThe Level 1 ski instructo
 r certification is for any competent parallel skier\, aged 15 years or old
 er\, and seeking to work as a ski instructor. The Level 1 candidate can ex
 pect to be exposed to a variety of terrain\, snow conditions and terrain f
 eatures.\nThe 3 day level 1 course is an introduction to ski teaching\, CS
 IA technique and methodology\, and the role of ski teaching within the ski
  industry. It combines the basics of practical ski teaching methods\, tech
 nical understanding and development of guest service skills\, specifically
  addressing children's skiing.\nThe level 1 certification course includes:
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n 	An introduction to CSIA skiing and teaching methodology\n 
 	Strategies to develop skiers from entry level to intermediate\n 	Techniqu
 es and strategies for effective assessment and development\n 	Personal fee
 dback on ski performance\n 	Interactive preparatory online module\n\n\n\n\

 gistration\, an access code to the online module will be emailed to you. T
 his 20-minute interactive module introduces concepts that will be used thr
 ough the course: Decision Making for Instructors\, The Gliding Experience 
 (beginner progression)\, Technical Reference\, and Responsible Teaching. C
 andidates are responsible for this information as part of the course curri
 culum.\nUpon successful completion of a Level 1 CSIA course\, you become a
  member of the CSIA and are billed annually for membership dues by the Nat
 ional Office. Membership benefits are available to you provided your membe
